SKAGEN CELEBRATES PRIDE MONTH

SKAGEN CELEBRATES PRIDE MONTH

WITH 100% OF PROCEEDS GOING TO INTERPRIDE FROM A LIMITED-EDITION COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE PRIDE AND TRANSGENDER FLAGS.

Richardson, Texas – May 15, 2022 – This summer, Skagen is proud to announce its 2023 Pride collection featuring two limited-edition watches in the brand’s classic platform; Grenen, and a bracelet inspired by the pride and transgender flags. In celebration of Pride 2023, Skagen is donating 100% of its proceeds from the sale of the pride collection (excluding shipping and taxes) to InterPride, a non-profit whose mission is to promote LGBTQIA+ on an international level to increase collaboration, networking, and communication among Pride organizations. The organization acts as a source of education and encourages diverse communities to hold and attend Pride events. Their vision is ultimately a world with full cultural, social, and legal equality for all.

Founded in 1982, InterPride represents the global Pride movement of over 375 Pride organizations and is a membership-based organization with members from over 70 countries, connecting and coordinating all Pride efforts on every continent. InterPride provides resources for human rights, racism and oppression awareness, scholarships, and more. InterPride is the official owner of the WorldPride™ brand — the highly-anticipated biannual global event that promotes visibility and awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues globally. Skagen is thrilled to support this organization that is making a difference in the lives of the LGBTQIA+ community worldwide.

The collection includes two distinct 37mm watches, one featuring color Arabic indexes on the dial and paired with a rainbow woven strap made from 100% recycled materials which retails for $135. The second watch retails for $165 and sports a sleek mesh strap paired with a rainbow solar-powered dial that can run for up to 6 months on a full charge. Both watches feature a specifically numbered caseback, with only 750 made of the rainbow strap and 300 made of the mesh strap. The collection also includes a rainbow stainless steel bracelet retailing for $50 with only 349 available. Now through June 30, 2023, 100% of proceeds will be donated to InterPride from purchases of the Pride collection.

“Pride organizations across the globe often depend on brand partnerships like this and through the sale of Skagen’s Pride flag-inspired watches along with other brands who support our mission, we are able to continue our work in progressing the global Pride movement,” said InterPride Co-President Natalie Thompson.
